Now Vitamin C, is critical for lots of reasons, as we know it helps fight colds and build the immune system. There is also the reduction in the risk of cardiovascular diseases, and more-so it also has some unexpected benefits for your skin.

The use of your lemon water, can reduce skin damage from the sun, dry skin, and even wrinkles. If you plan to spend some time in the sun this season, maybe cool off with a drink as you are applying your sunscreen.

The mighty lemon contains more than just Vitamin C, it also has polyphenol antioxidants and in testing, on mice, this was shown to reduce weight gain. It is also thought that the polyphenols can work to enhance and help treat digestive issues as well as diabetes and neuro-degenerative diseases.

Other than the taste, one of the more touted benefits of drinking lemon water is in the progress towards weight loss. However when you drink lemon water – you create a calorie deficit which can act to help some persons lose weight over the longer term.

So maybe as a warm-up and pre-hydration for a jog or trip to the gym, maybe try something new, cheap and very simple. Just grab a lemon and a glass of water, throw them together. While quenching yourself and reap the benefits.
