If you are a person who likes to stay in shape, take care of your diet and have a well-marked weekly exercise routine, you should know better all the benefits that practical the art of meditation can bring to your fitness.
Stress
People despite being in very good shape, we can suffer from stress and emotional disturbances that end up affecting us both physically and mentally. Stress is our body’s response to responding to the excessive increase of a hormone called cortisol.
It is not alarming to feel stressed, although if that trend becomes chronic we will have to look for a solution so that it does not get worse and has much more serious consequences.

Stress can be caused by a person’s internal psychological problems: trauma, too high personal aspirations, promises, fears, anxiety, etc.
External
On the other hand, it is also possible that the trigger for that stress is someone from outside: the couple, the family, the boss, a friend, etc.In either case it is important to remedy it, find the trigger of the problem and start working on it.
Why Meditation?
Now, you’ll wonder what all of the above has to do with the introduction of meditation in my daily training, right? Well, the gradual introduction of 10-15 minutes of meditation will favor our relaxation, helping us to reduce the most physical effects of stress: heart rate and respiratory.In addition, not only will it allow us to breathe better, but it will also help us get to know each other better. Internal stress often has its origin in our lack of self-esteem, not being satisfied with our lives ends up generating great anxiety and discomfort with ourselves.
Starting to introduce meditation gradually into our routine will force us to stop and start listening inside. It will improve our ability to enter a state of calm and mental emptiness, something essential to prevent acute attacks of anxiety.
How to introduce meditation into my routines?
If for example you are passionate about home fitness and have a complete training team to combine cardio and strength exercises, introducing an initial few minutes of meditation will not be very difficult.
We can start by meditating for 15 minutes. Ignite a little incense from an odor that relaxes us and placed us properly on the carpet with our eyes closed, and above all, willing to disconnect.
Starting a workout by taking air and leaving our mind blank will double the benefits that 45 minutes of a very intense cardio workout can bring.In conclusion, meditation is an art that will bring us benefits on a physical and mental level.
Try introducing a few minutes into your daily workouts and you’ll start to notice all its advantages. You won’t regret it.
